"For Your Own Special Sweetheart" on Atlantic Records
One of the brightest releases of 1994 was the debut Atlantic release,
"For your own special sweetheart" by Jawbox. This D.C. band is no
stranger to the studio, which comes through is strong vocals on top of well-thought-out melodies. The music is a great break from the grunge
copycats that pervade the music scene of the 90's. Ted Nicely (better
known for his work with Fugazi) joins Jawbox on the production side of
things. If you haven't given Jawbox a closer listen to, take the time
now to reward yourself.
